The Society is an independent non-political organisation which exists to protect and improve Farnborough's environment and amenities for the benefit of all residents and visitors. The Farnborough Society has also set up a Pedestrian Forum that champions the cause of the pedestrian, campaigns on his or her behalf, and promotes walking as a healthy, practical and invigorating way of getting around the town.
